“Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the Lord as he did ...” (2 Kings 23:25). Like Josiah, Paul was a man who was unashamed of his Lord; “ I am not ashamed of the Gospel ...” (Romans 1:16).
Where does this strength come from? It comes from “the living God.” It
is given to those who say from the heart: “My heart and my flesh cry
out for the living God” (Psalm 84:2).
