The God who says, “I am the Lord, and there is no other”, also says, “I will not yield My glory to another” (Isaiah 48:11).
The uniqueness of the Lord is directly related to the glory of the
Lord. God is unique, the one true God. We are to give glory to Him
alone. How do we glorify God? - “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have
crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live
by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:24-25). The way of the flesh brings judgment (Psalm 109:1-20). The way of the Spirit is the way of “inheriting the Kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:21-24).
What God did for His people, Israel, was very great. There is a striking contrast between their slavery in Egypt and their abundance in the promised land. God had multiplied His blessing upon them, just as Jesus did when He turned water into wine (John 2:1-11). If the blessing is to be maintained and increased, we must honour the Lord. We must cry to Him for blessing: "Hear my prayer, O God, listen to the words of my mouth." We must call upon Him with faith: "Surely God is my help; the Lord is the One who sustains me" (Psalm 54:2,4).
