In
Leviticus, there are many commands given by the Lord so that the
people of God, walking in obedience to His Word, might enjoy His
blessing. This principle is taught throughout the Word of God ā the way
of obedience is the way of life: āKeep My commands and you will liveā (Proverbs 7:2). This is not a shallow legalism. It is the result of the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives (Luke 1:15-17).
Psalm 48:1-14 Lord, we worship You in the place of worship ā āWithin Your Temple, we meditate on Your unfailing love.ā Help us to go out from there, and play our part in seeing that Your praise āreaches to the ends of the earthā (Psalm 48:: 9-11). How will other people know of Your love, if we donāt tell them? How will they find their way to Your House, if we donāt invite them? When we share Your Word with others, help us to remember Your promise: āMy Word ⦠will not return to Me empty, but will ⦠achieve the purpose for which I sent itā (Isaiah 55:11).
